Are designer items such as shoes and cloths worth the money?
March 6, 2010 · Posted in Shoe FAQs
I mean like I like shopping, but sometimes I see designer items (some not even that creative or pretty) that go upwards of thousand of dollars while there are similar items for a much lower price. So what makes these designer items so expansive, are they really worth the price or are people paying for the brand name?

No I do not belive they are.
They are made in same place as everything else is, China.
The tags lie, the companies lie, don’t belive them.
They do use very high quality fabrics though. But i personaly think a pair of well made $300 shoes will be just as great as a pair of well made designer shoes, you just have to look at quality befor you buy.
Absolutely, especially depending on what the item is. People seem to have the common misconception that when you buy designer, all you are doing – is paying for the name. When, realistically; you pay for higher quality items that last longer, are made of better materials, and look better.
For me, I adore fashion; some people paint, some people write – my form of expression, is through fashion.
Look at it this way, say you buy a BMW; are you paying a higher price tag, just because it is a BMW? No, they drive better, are reliable cars, and have a ton of features that most cars don’t…I think everyone has their priorities.
you pay for the name.
no, not worth it.
anyone who answers yes to this question needs to get a real job and stop using mommy and daddy’s credit card to pay for their betsy johnson $425 sequin dresses they’ll never wear more than once.
i am sure a lot of people just buy it beucase its designer.
but you have to look at it this way..
fashion is art.
its all about shape and color and texture.
so you really have to have an eye for thoes things to be into high fashion.
something you think is just soo hedious might be beautiful to someone eles.
you dont just get into fashion over night.
in order to see fashion as an art you have to have a passion for as (like myself)
I agree completely with Mrs. Shawn Pyfrom
i think it just depends on your personal style. you may hate it, but someone else might absolutely love it. even if it might not look good on you, you might see the same thing on someone else and it looks amazing. so basically i think it depends on the person’s personal style and taste level. & also because people will buy it if its designer — its high end.
hope i helped
[[:
probably not but i buy them anyways cause i think they look cute and cause i can
They are definitely not worth the money. The cheaper stuff probably has just as good/better quality. It is just for the brand name. And since it’s expensive people think they’re cool for having it.
Some of the brands are worth it, but the brands that cost around $70 I think they are not worth the money. For example Vans are worth around $50-$70 but i found they are not worth the money.
It is worth paying the extra money for quality but not just to do it to have the brand name. The price is high because it works. The company makes $$$$$$’s on their sales.
no. ppl will pay more attention to u and it is a little better quality, but material objects dont mean much in the end
